Year 7-9 students from Willingdon Community School, will be working with award-winning manga artist Paul Duffield, all day on June 10th and 17th, to learn about and create comic strip illustrations! You can see the results on Saturday June 27th, All Saints Centre, Lewes.
Year 9 students from Peacehaven Community College, will be working with film maker Nick Pilton, to create and perform in their own drama and film responses to the theme Free Speech! They will be supported by Tom Goulden and the Peacehaven Youth Centre. You can come and watch the results on Thursday June 25th at 6pm at The Meridian Community Centre, Peacehaven.
Year 7-11 students from Lewes Priory School and Ringmer Community College, will be working with artists Naomi Woodis and Dzifa Benson of Word Migrants, to compete against each other in a poetry slam! You can come and see the results on Friday June 26th at 4pm, All Saints Centre, Lewes.

Free Speech is an exciting festival for young people happening across East Sussex and culminating in a series of events in Lewes from 25-27th June. Keep posted for things you will be able to do, or let us know what you would like to see happen! The Festival is a partnership project between Lewes Live Literature and Willingdon Community School, with funding from the East Sussex Arts Partnership.
